Remodeling : My studio Seki city, Gifu (May 2012)

This is my studio.
I remodeled an old hut for agriculture works on the premises, which I bought 16 years ago.

For a long time, this hut had been left untouched as a space to put away unwanted items.

The exterior image is a Western Style.
Gunman objet was made from an iron plate, based on a picture in a interior book I came across.
It was used as a shooting target at past American amusement parks.

Half of the studio is for working space.

The opposite side is full of books and a computer table is there.

MAT'S house design was totally produced from design.
Art Paint WING Co.,Ltd perfectly reflected my design.

Shop design&Character design / Beauty Salon Ann Sleep Gifu city, Gifu (November, 2009)

I offered the remodeling of the metal building into "like a castle" from this owner.
For the reasons of budget, I planned to remain the old parts of the building
and tried to finish it without discomfort.
My friend, Ishikawa Paint, was in charge of aging paint and well done.
We studied some taste of buildings by going to Universal Studio Japan.

I was in charge of designing this shop's character.
So far this shop used a character like kewpie doll. So they tended to change into a new character,
we planned a cute and friendly character although it looked like a bid bad.

Building exterior wall was changed like this in spite of remaining its building materials.

Moldings, bricks, window frames, squared timber which chains are hanging are all made from styrofoam.

For making an impact on this building, we added a flag and a palm tree.

1. The left wall of the entrance : Its old looking came to be some kind of theme park's one.
2. The part of bricks : You never know if these are made from styrofoam unless you touched it with your hands.
3. Design characters on windows : These cutting sheets ware made by the sign maker.
4. Symbol palm tree : I was looking for it here and there. It was carried from Kanto area in Japan.
5. Flag like a pirate : It cut up into pieces with scissors.
6. Southern character : A big signboard (a height of 4 meter). We painted it by ourselves.
7. Eastern character : It was painted a sticker sheet by the sign maker.
8. Character's poster of "Wanted" : We put the cardboard in the back of a paper sprayed varnish, and printed out.
9. Metal parts of breath : The dummy breath of hanging the roof.
10. Pedestal of Flag : We fit up a profound metal parts as same as an embassy.
11. Decorated frames of windows : We recreated the same design of my seeing in USJ's buildings.
12. Post : We painted the new transformed post like rust.

Shop design&Producing / Cafe Shangri-la Gifu city, Gifu (2009.6)

I was in charge of all works, Designing, Selecting building materials, Coordinating furniture accessories, Self building.

Overthrowing the request to want to be a shop 1F, I suggested the entrance should be located in the second floor by setting the stairs on the drying place.
Starting from thinking of the stairs design, and then we pitched an entrance tent and put stone walls, fit windows. Therefore, stylish facade was born.

The left room became the entrance, and the right room became the office. Two closets became a washroom by breaking partitions.

The cafe entrance was made by setting the stairs on the drying place.

Door & stained glass was located on the part of the low patio door in the room.

The approach into the shop was opened widely without a low door of the western style room.

Utilizing a fixed island kitchen, it became the long long counter kitchen.

I designed like this by taking all fixed closets in the kitchen apart.

The right door was designed large "R" like this.

The entrance hall seen from inside of the shop.
